The 1986 World Exposition is now on view in the new
EXPO 86 Display Centre on our 173-acre downtown
Vancouver site.

The main highlight at the Centre is the 82 foot long
site model which will give visitors a first-hand look at
the size and scope of EXPO 86. The model is the largest
ever built in Canada. It comes complete with 200
buildings, 3,000 trees, 1,000 flags, 20,000 people,
animals, automobiles, monorails and even a concorde

jet! Expo's spectacular 18 projector audio visual show
will also add an eye-popping introduction to the
Exposition and its theme.

The EXPO 86 Display Centre is to give you a
“sneak-preview" of the amazing scope of the 1986 Werld
Exposition. We encourage and invite you to schedule a
one hour visit of the Centre by simply calling 660-EXPO
to reserve a time slot. The hours of operation will be
10:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and we
are able to accommodate groups of up to 92 people
maximum. Hosts and hostesses are on staff to give you a
thorough introduction to the many aspects of a World
Exposition.
