Bus Stop

Arthur Chan (David Lam) empty. I pretended to walk
slowly, but I knew I walked
faster than usual. Finally, I
sat beside her. That was the
thing I hoped for every day,
and it had finally happened.
The seat was comfortable,
although it was hard and hot.
I wanted to express my
happiness, but I knew I would
be embarrassed, and I would
lose face to her. I tried to sit
still and pretended to be
normal. However, my heart-
beats were going fast. I
almost could hear the sound
of my heart, and I hoped she
didn’t hear it. I tried to look
at her, but I could just move
my eyeball a little bit,
because I didn’t want her to
know I was watching her.
Actually, I knew if I wanted
to be friends with her, I had
to talk. Nevertheless, what
should I talk to her about?
Weather? No! Politics? Well, I
didn’t think she would be
interested in it. How about
novels? It could work. I knew
many girls like to read novels.

I'd taken a deep breath, and
was brave enough to say “Hi,”

off the bus and I missed the
chance to say “Bye.” But if I
hadn't said “Hi,” how could I
say “Bye?” Anyway, I was
disappointed. Actually, I
finally knew I was brave
enough to talk; I knew I
would make it the next day.
That night, I practiced
saying “Hi” in the perfect
way many times. I couldn't go
to sleep; maybe I was too
excited. Finally, the morming
came, and I ran to the bus
stop. I was earlier than her
because I hadn't seen her yet.
When the bus came, I still
hadn't seen her. I decided to
wait until the next bus
came, but she wasn’t
there yet either. I
guessed she must be
sick, and I hoped she
would get better. The
