Mad Hatter Page 9 George Wootton Scholarship Two scholarships (of approximately $500 each) in honour of George Wootton, the first president of Douglas College, are available this year to graduating students in any program who have shown: 1. superior scholastic ability, and 2. significant participation in College and community activities. Ministry of Labour is again offering funds for job creation pro- jects for students, through the Summer Youth Employment Program. Communications & Culture Symposium One hundred promising students from commun- ity colleges or CEGEPS will have the oppor- tunity to attend a two week symposium on communications and culture in Canada. The symposium will be held in Ottawa from August 7 to August 9, 1983. All selected participants will be entitled to a $650 Merit Fellowship provided by the Department of Communications of Canada.
