Women In This Decade
PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION

In recognition of the United Nations Decade for Women (1976-85), women from across British Columbia are invited to
submit their works of photography. The works selected from all entrants will be displayed at a major exhibition in
Vancouver, summer of 1985.

Deadline:

Entrics must be received by April 1, 1985.
Eligibility:

Open to all women residents of B.C.

Medium:
Works must be photographic in nature in black and white, or colour.

Theme:
Photographers may submit works depicting issues, themes and images of relevance to women in this decade. Entrants are requested
to include a brief (50 words or less) quote about each piece of work . . . what the image means to you, or the circumstances of its
recording.

 

Format:
Entrants are requested to submit up to ten labelled (on reverse side) prints, matted, unframed (not to exceed 16”X20” in size). or
mounted and labelled slides. You may send slides if prints are larger than 16”X20”. Information with print should indicate any
necessary installation instructions. If you are working in photo sculpture, please indicate dimensions. with installation shot slides.
Medium must be indicated (cibachrome, colour C print, collage, etc.). Dimensions for the intended exhibition work must
accompany photo or slide submission,
