ATHLETES OF THE YEAR

Two outstanding Athletes of the Year are Rick Mesich and Lorraine Marken . Lorraine Marken is the ideal 1987-
88 Female Athlete of the Year for Douglas College. Lorraine has been an outstanding athlete for our College for
the past three years and has consistently contributed to the Basketball Program. She is a dedicated, intelligent,
coachable and inspiring player, who has achieved great success through her efforts. Her leadership capabilities
and interpersonal skills have made her the Team Captain and has earned her the friendship and cooperation of her

fellow team members.
