PLAY RITES CONTEST

The Burnaby Arts Council
presents Play Rites, a 24-hour, one-
act playwrighting contest. Winning
entries will be offered cash prizes, a
professional critique and a staged
reading of their work.

Contest begins 4:00 p.m. April
20 and runs until 4:00 p.m. April 21
at the Burnaby Arts Center, 6528
Deer Lake Avenue, Burnaby.

Wine and Cheese were not the only
delights at the College’s annual
Christmas party. Several em-
ployees won prizes in a reverse
order raffle. Brenda Sampson
(middle) won the grand prize — a
trip for two to Newport Beach in
California. Other lucky winners
were Jacqueline Gresko (left)
chairperson of the Arts and
Humanities department, and Glen
Goshulak (right) who works in the

theatre department.
