Once this process has been completed, T intend te provide both sets of documents to Finance, Facilities and Personnel Committee of the Board for their information and comment. The Student Society has appointed a student ombudsnerson, Mr. Ken Gilbert. I[ have met with Mr. Gilbert and have assured him of our intent to assist him in any way pussible in the discharge of his duties. On October 15, the Douglas College Royals - our hockey team - played an exhibition game against the Yancouver Canucks Old Timers - ably assisted by Gordie Howe and Bobby Hull. 1 am told by envious administrators in other Colleges, that it was the public relations triumph of the semester. Seriously, it is a pleasure to recognize and commend the imagination and enthusiasm of Mr. Merv Bodnarchuk, our hockey coach, and Betty-Lou Hayes, our Coordinator of Athletics and Intramurals, in organizing the event. A number of Board members were good enough to attend our informal dinner in honour of the team. Their presence was very much appreciated.
