technological course
Copies of the February, 1997 report
Setting our Course for the Future: An
Educational Technology Plan for
Douglas College are now available
campus-wide. Prepared in response to
reviews and studies of computing and
educational technology services at the
College, the draft plan covers issues of
service reliability, customer support,
planning, structures and processes, user
involvement, access to resources,
training, security, copyright and staffing.
All employees are encouraged to read and
respond to the document before March
14, so it can be used as part of overall
planning and budgeting for the 1997-98
fiscal year. Copies are available in field-
bases, both libraries, or through Marian
Rossell, Mia Gordon or Barb Bessey.

za Summer grad reminder

Summer Graduation is scheduled for
Thursday, June 12. All administrators,
chairs and faculty processional party
participants should contact Mary Whorley
at local 5391 before April 12 to order
gowns and hoods. Gowns are ordered
from Winnipeg, so orders placed after
this date cannot be accommodated.

Staff Professional Development Day
has been scheduled for Thursday, May
29. Any staff members interested in
joining the committee are welcome to
attend the next meeting on Thursday,
March 20, which will take place in
Personnel (Room 2305) from 1—3pm. For
