Staff Changes Continued at the local level and she served as Regional Vice President of the Fraser Valley region for the union. Wilson returned to the Col- lege two years ago and was the Student Services receptionist and for the past five months was the departmental assistant to the Director of Student Services. She will return to her position as departmental assistant after four months. Judy Thomas, formerly secretary to the Registrar, has returned to the college for four months to fill in for Liz Wilson. "PLEASURE PAINTERS..." one of the many artists, Oswald Crawford, holds his painting which is on display until February 28 in the Theatre Foyer Gallery and the Library. Oswald, a 94 year-old resident of Zion Park Manor in Cloverdale, just finished painting a week before the show. Women’s Centre Continued can take the necessary steps towards making positive changes in their lives." The Centre offers several workshops each semester aimed at developing personal skills. Assertiveness Training, Interpersonal Communication Skills, Test Anxiety and Test Preparation, Con- fidence Building, Time Management and Stress Management are all free workshops led by Douglas College Counsellors. Wilson says women can also borrow books and other resource materials from the Centre’s library. A wide range of subjects are covered, including health services in the community, social and economic issues, community resources, women’s support groups, sexual assault, education and career exploration. The Women’s Centre is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am. to 4:30 pm.
