The Lady Royals won in less dramatic fashion, sweeping Fraser Valley College in two lop-sided Head For Nationals 0 record in team play while break- ing a record by sweeping 30 games without a single loss. In in- dividual play the following day, Douglas won four gold bia Athletic Association championships. Royals men’s and women’s bas- ketball teams both travel to Kamloops for the CCAA nationals from March 21-23, while the badminton contingent travelled to Quebec last weekend. The women’s volleyball team missed a national berth by one match, losing the final to Trinity Western, while the men’s volleyball team earned a bronze. The biggest nailbiter came in men’s basketball, in which an ailing Royals squad was pushed to three games by Trinity Western before pulling out a 81-76 win in the final. Defending national champion Douglas College continued to show its dominance on the bad- minton court when hosting the BCAA championships on March 9- 10. The College posted a perfect 6- BCCAA tournament at Trinity Western. In the first round, TWU had beaten the Royals 3-0.
