Hawthorn pushes the ensemble cast to run a gamut of emotions. . . all in frothy satin dresses.
This Studio Theatre production runs Nov. 7 and 8 and from Nov. 10-15.

In this fall’s mainstage production, director Allan Lysell takes on Ten November, a drama based
on the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, the longest ship ever launched on the Great Lakes.
Written by Steven Dietz with music and lyrics by Eric Bain Peltoniemi, the play moves beyond
the disaster to the human reaction to the loss. “Our attempts to grapple with loss — through
grieving, ritual and reflection — unite us,” says Dietz. “Loss writes our songs and builds our
memorials.” Ten November runs Nov. 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21 & 22 in the Performing Arts Theatre.

Ticket prices: $12 general admission, $5 students and seniors, with discount rates for groups of 20

In memoriam

Dorothy T. Lam, wife of Dr.
David C. Lam, passed away
peacefully at her Vancouver
home on October 16, 1997, at
the age of 67. Mrs. Lam will
be remembered for her
gentleness, sincerity and
grace, as well as for her often
understated dignity, devotion
to her husband and family
and her selfless commitment
to help others in her private
as well as her public life. She
will be fondly missed by all
who knew her. Donations
